Discover Santa Catalina collects the information you choose to submit through contact, newsletter, correction, partnership, experience and transfer request forms.
Information we collect
Forms may collect your name, email address, message, topic, travel interest, page source and consent confirmation. Submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1 and may be sent to the Discover Santa Catalina inbox through Cloudflare Email Service so the editorial team can respond.
Newsletter signups may also be synchronized with Brevo so Discover Santa Catalina can send travel guides, local updates and occasional offers to people who consent. Marketing emails should include an unsubscribe link.
Analytics and cookies
To limit repeated form and measurement requests, Cloudflare temporarily uses the connection IP address in security rate-limit counters. This key is not stored in our lead or conversion database and is not used as an analytics identifier.
Discover Santa Catalina may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views, referrers, countries, devices and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not collect personal information for this site and is used as a lightweight alternative to heavier tracking stacks.
If advertising pixels, affiliate tracking or additional newsletter tracking are added later, this page should be updated clearly before those tools are used.
Do not send sensitive data
Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, legal or medical information through forms.
This policy should be reviewed by a qualified professional before commercial launch.
Trip enquiries and conversion measurement
Submitting an availability or transfer request does not confirm a booking or subscribe you to marketing. We explain the operational data and separate operator-sharing authorization below.
Optional conversion measurement is off until you enable it using the checkbox at the bottom of the page. It records event type, approved page path, language, service, button category, page position and broad screen-size category in Cloudflare D1. Contact details, free-text notes, full URLs, raw campaign parameters and device identifiers are excluded. No analytics cookies or persistent browser identifiers are set. Your choice resets on each page; Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control suppress these events.
Experience requests and manual bookings
Our experience and transfer request forms collect your name, WhatsApp, optional email, preferred date, guest counts and relevant trip logistics. We store requests, quotes, confirmation history and manual payment/commission records in Cloudflare D1. Submission is not a booking. No payment is collected by these forms or the private request page.
Necessary contact details may be shared with your selected operator only with your optional authorization. Initial availability messages contain the experience, date and guest count, without your contact details or personal notes. Transactional request and status emails are separate from newsletter consent.
We keep sanitized campaign and referral slugs, the landing path and referring hostname with the request for attribution. First-touch trip attribution uses this browser tab's session storage and ends when the tab closes. Private request links expire after 90 days and may be replaced by the team. Treat them as confidential; anyone with a valid link can see its limited request status and quote.
Operational records are retained while the request is being handled and for required business recordkeeping. To request access, correction or deletion, contact hello@discoversantacatalina.com. The commercial retention schedule must be established before launch.
